Foot Health

Oximer Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment Center, which was established within its body as a natural result of focusing on preventive medicine practices due to its social responsibility understanding; expanded its service range with the foot health unit. Our medical team specialized in diabetic foot and wound care includes an experienced general surgeon, hyperbaric medicine and wound care specialist, podology nurse and auxiliary staff. In our center, where tens of thousands of diabetic foot patients are treated, experience has been gained especially in the treatment of diabetic wounds, and the fact that special foot care is required for such patients has been observed. To the patients who are treated in our centers for their wounds; After the treatment, regular foot care and doctor control are required.

Diabetic Foot Care

One of the most important issues to be considered in patients with diabetes is foot care. Therefore, people with diabetes should pay special attention to their feet. In such people, narrowing of the foot and leg veins and similar circulatory disorders are important. In untreated uncontrolled diabetes, the functions of the nerves in the legs and feet deteriorate, and there may be a decrease in pain, temperature and sense of touch. As a result, injuries are not felt or noticed; infection is added to the event and when it is noticed, it is difficult to treat. Medical devices are taken care of without any surgical intervention on the feet of diabetics, and necessary information and advice are given about the foot care products to be used and the points to be considered.

Cracked Heel Treatment

Cracks in the skin are important because germs have the potential to reach inside the body through cracks, and exposed nerve endings in the area can make the area sensitive. First, the callus layer in the area is cleaned and using a special foot cream, cracks and clefts are prevented.

Ingrown Nail Treatment

In our unit, in order to save ingrown nails from pulling and to prevent possible ingrown nails, our patients in this situation are intervened by applying nail wire. The method, which is based on the principle of connecting two very thin spring steels with hooks at the ends and connecting them with a ring, is completely painless and there is no restriction in lifestyle.

Thickened and Fungal Nail Treatment

The thickened fungal tissue layer on the nail is painlessly thinned with the help of devices and the healthy nail tissue is covered with a special gel. Nail fungus is destroyed depending on the growth process of the healthy nail with periodically repeated processes.

Deformed Nail Treatment

Nails that have lost their natural shape due to impact and tram or various reasons are regained their natural appearance.

Callus Treatment

In the treatment of calluses, the friction and pressure that cause the callus should be removed first. Ministers are treated under the control of our doctors specialized in foot health and the risk of recurrence is eliminated.

Orthotics Applications

Deformations caused by finger posture and pressure disorders are relieved with a support material specially prepared for the foot of the person, and pain and sensitivity due to deformities are relieved.
